1 cup butter
1 3/4 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 1/2 to 4 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
Cream the first 4 ingredients on medium for 8 minutes. Add the dry ingredients and blend until just mixed. Add the chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven when just underdone. Then let them cool on the pan for 5 minutes - this makes them soft.
**this is the best whole wheat cookie recipe I've tried - they are really chewy and moist. . . another great way to use that food storage wheat.
