We began our time together by visiting Grandma A and wishing her a Happy Birthday. She seemed very surprised and pleased to see the girls.
We then, went home to dinner and bowling. Camryn seemed to beat us all but we had fun. The girls thought it would be fun to use animal names instead of our own names on the scorecard. None of us were too embarrassed with our scores since pig, squirrel, horse, dolphin, unicorn, zebra and fish were the ones playing.
They seemed to fit a trip to the hot tub in after all the hard work.
One of the first requests for the evening was "will Grandpa make milkshakes?' Caramel seemed to be the favorite flavor.
It seemed to be fairly quiet at bedtime. The plan was to sleep in but they seem to have caught the early riser gene from the Bates. They were all up fairly early and ready for breakfast and the temple.
Grandpa cooked pancakes and bacon on the grill. As we were waiting to leave, we found all of them outside having fun with the hula hoops.
We piled into 2 cars and headed to the temple with one stop to pick up Jackson for this activity.
Grandma A and her friend had prepared some family names for us to take for baptisms. Jackson had 20 and the girls shared 17 plus they added some file names. Grandpa performed the baptisms. It was so amazing to be there with our 6 oldest grandchildren. We are so blessed.
We ended our time together with lunch. Thank you Jackson, Jessamyne, Fiona, Camryn, Gabi and Meg for being who you are and blessing our lives!
